James D. Price has 35 years experience in domestic and international asset-based financing as an investment banker and an investment advisor. This experience includes leadership positions on credit and investment committees of major investment banks, managerial positions in their principal departments and broad transaction experience in origination and structuring debt and equity in the private and public markets on asset-based financings.

Mr. Price has had direct or indirect involvement in numerous projects over his career in Latin America, Asia, Eastern Europe, Africa and Western Europe. This experience encompasses financings for the overseas projects of domestic corporations and the financing for local projects of foreign companies and governments.

The financings arranged by Mr. Price cover the entire spectrum of the capital markets, ranging from sovereign credits and governmental agencies, corporations in emerging market credits, project financings in newly independent states, international firms, major US corporations, and small growing concerns. Overseas project financing experience ranges from developed countries to oil, electric and transportation projects in newly independent states in Eastern Europe. The range of asset financing experience spans off-shore oil platforms in the North Sea and Gulf of Mexico, agriculture projects, food processing plants, steel mills, aircraft, and office, industrial, distribution and retail real estate facilities.

During his 18 year career at Merrill Lynch, Mr. Price built up its private placement department to #1 on Wall Street, was co-head of the investment banking department’s Commitment Committee, founded Merrill Lynch Leasing and was Chairman of its Investment Committee. In addition, Mr. Price was a Director of Merrill Lynch International Bank in London and his experience as a Board member approving loans, both direct and through syndicates, included transactions in Europe, Africa, Latin America and the Middle East.

Mr. Price is a past member of the Brookings Institute and was on the Board of Advisors of the Export-Import Bank from 1999 through 2001. He was a past Director of Steves & Sons and Crest Metal Doors, Inc. of San Antonio. He is a past Director of W. P. Carey LLC CPA REIT's; past Director of Pier 1 Funding Corp and Manuco Corp., a subsidiary of Kroger Co., owning food processing companies. He also was on the Board of Advisors of the Harry Ransom Center at the University of Texas in Austin for 10 years.
